What is Forte AI?
Forte AI is a macOS automation suite for professional audio sessions, made up of two apps: fPost for film and TV post production and fMusic for music mixing. It targets mix engineers, sound editors, and post production studios working in Pro Tools and Logic Pro who lose hours to repetitive session prep. Forte uses on-device audio recognition to import AAFs, organize tracks, apply mix templates, and run multi-session bounces without manual click-through.
Why Forte AI works
Session prep, AAF conform, stem export, and template application are mechanical tasks that still eat a working day per project for most studios. Forte recognizes incoming audio, matches it against the engineer's template, and queues multiple sessions for unattended processing, which collapses the prep-to-mix gap and frees engineers to spend their billable hours on creative decisions.
Forte AI features
- AAF auto-conform. fPost analyzes incoming AAF files, organizes tracks against the engineer's post template, and prepares the Pro Tools session so the mixer starts from a ready layout.
- Session reorganization. Re-sorts existing PTX sessions into the studio's preferred track order and grouping so messy editor handoffs become predictable mix starts.
- Mix template integration. fMusic applies a stored mix template to a new song session, routing tracks to the right busses and effects so every project starts from a consistent foundation.
- Multi-session queue. Processes a queue of song or post sessions in sequence without supervision, so a studio can run overnight batches and arrive to ready sessions.
- Custom routing and bounce print. Lets engineers define their own instrument categories, bus routing, and bounce print formats so the automation matches their existing workflow rather than forcing a new one.
Who Forte AI is for
- Mix engineers working on multiple album projects who lose a half day per song to template setup and want a queue to do it overnight.
- Film and TV re-recording mixers receiving AAFs from picture editors who need clean, conformed Pro Tools sessions before they can start mixing.
- Post production studios with several rooms and tight delivery windows that need consistent session prep across staff and freelancers.
- Producers and home studio engineers comfortable in Pro Tools or Logic who want studio-grade session organization without hiring an assistant.
