What is TypeFast?
TypeFast is an online typing speed challenge built around branded keyboard placements. Users race for verified WPM scores, and the all time top three can put a logo on the matching keycap for as long as they hold the rank. Brands can also choose a key, upload a mark, tune its placement, and permanently claim that keycap at its displayed fixed price.
Why TypeFast works
A plain typing leaderboard gives winners a rank, then leaves the result sitting as another row of text. TypeFast ties the best three scores to visible keyboard keys and lets brands permanently claim other caps, so achievement changes the keyboard itself instead of ending at the scoreboard.
TypeFast features
- Turn a top score into a branded key. Finish in the all time top three and the logo from your website takes over the matching keycap for as long as you hold that rank.
- Permanently claim an individual key. Choose a key, upload your mark, tune its placement, and purchase that cap at the fixed price shown on the site. Once payment is confirmed, no other brand can buy it.
- Compare live typing rankings. The leaderboard separates all time and today views, with verified runs and activity shown alongside the rankings.
- Play messages on the keyboard. Write a message of up to 500 characters and play it back on the keyboard at a natural typing pace.
- Get artwork checked when needed. Submitted artwork is activated by default. If legibility, ownership, or production needs an adjustment, TypeFast contacts you to replace it.
Who TypeFast is for
- Competitive typists who want a verified WPM run to unlock more than a leaderboard position.
- Brand owners who want a keycap placement that does not return to inventory after purchase.
- Marketers looking for an interactive brand placement tied directly to a public typing challenge and leaderboard.
Similar micro SaaS ideas you can build
- Public milestone wall for product launches. A tool for indie makers that turns launch milestones into a permanent visual wall. The first customers, top referrers, or fastest signups can claim named spots, giving participation a visible place in the product story instead of another badge in an account.
- Sponsor grid for niche communities. A small app for newsletters, clubs, and online communities that divides one public visual into a fixed number of sponsor spots. Each sponsor claims a specific position that stays attached to the community page, making limited inventory obvious without managing banner rotations.
- Performance unlocked profile placements. A leaderboard product for online competitions where top performers earn control of prominent profile slots while they keep their rank. It gives competitors a public reason to defend their position and lets the page change as the standings change.
